Warm hospitality combined with great conversations with godly, knowledgeable mentors around meaningful content can make for a wonderful environment for community and spiritual and professional growth.
Journey Onsite Cohorts, or Journey Cohorts, are small weekly gatherings in the Columbus, Ohio, home of John Scroggins (bio), Founder and Executive Director of Baton Exchange. He and his wife Angie (bio) work to create a real and relevant space for young adults to learn, grow and be vulnerable. The vision is to see a network of similar home-based learning communities utilizing the curriculum that we’ve developed.
You’ll join them, other Christian 20-Somethings and often various leaders, for supper. After supper, we transition to an interactive exploration of the topic of the night and then leave time afterward for socializing.
Topics may include: developing a biblical perspective on controversial topics, integrating faith and work, spiritual transformation and growth in Christ, bringing Christ’s flourishing to your community, leadership skills for the 20-Something, dealing with ethical dilemmas at work, finding community, navigating transitions in your 20s, professional skills and character attributes necessary for doing well in your job and career, life skills, and much more. For a list of topics we have explored over the years, visit our catalog.
There are also other opportunities to do more life together, like service projects, out-of-town weekend retreats, game and movie nights, ethnic restaurant progressive dinners and more.
